WENT BACK TO LAKE GWELUP TO TRYING GET THE BEE EATER IN FLIGHT, BUT IT BLEW A GALE ALL DAY AND I ONLY SAW ONE PAIR WHICH JUST SAT IN THE TREES ALL DAY , OCCASIONALLY FLYING DOWN TO THE NESTING CHAMBER ..WHEN I WASN'T LOOKING !!
I DID MANAGE TO GET THE HOBBY FALCON AS IT FLEW OFF IT'S HIGH PERCH.

A pair of Rainbow Bee Eaters , the male has a longer extension to it's tail feathers. these little birds are Fast,  I managed a couple of shots in flight but they are little blurred ! so will try again on Friday....after Golf...this retirement lark is hard work !!

LANGKAWI TRIP PICS Nov 2011

  Linda my wife and I, had a really good time in Langkawi, I was hoping to show Linda some of the area's I had visited on my solo photographic trip last year, but unfortunately the mangrove are was a bit to much for Linda.....she forgot to bring her wellies ! so we kept to the footpaths and roads, and also Linda thought that 2 hours sat listening and looking ...at apparently  nothing ! ....was enough for one day ha ha!! but I still manage to get some nice shots, so in order of appearance here they are :D

a fish but I am hungry
