With reference to the swan lake photograph and the location:
If you walked onto the canal at Moon's Bridge Marina, Woodplumpton, you would then walk in the direction towards Catforth. The picture was taken at the second bridge along, after joining the canal at Moon's Bridge Marina.
Last year I enjoyed watching Kingfishers there too, but sadly no sightings this year after the harsh winter.
